This is superb water! And the access / interface is very user friendly. I think it is a steel pipe painted white into spigot + plastic basin.

As owner of the Leone Family Spring I note there is some concern about the type of material the pipe that delivers the spring water to the tub along roadside. The pipe is not steel, it is pvc pipe. To reinforce the pipe at the tub we braced it with wood and to preserve the wood we sprayed it with white paint. Some of the paint coated the pvc pipe. We do everything we can to keep the spring clean and flowing and also make periodic lab tests of the water. Thank you and enjoy!

This would be wonderful if it wasn’t flowing through a PVC pipe!!!! They are known for leeching.. 🙁 Cheap, but poor choice of material if you want it truly to be healthy water…

  3. Anonymous says:

Maybe the outlet is made of CPVC plumbing, a comparatively non-toxic material.

  4. Anonymous says:

Also, would there be that much toxic levels in the water depending on the length of the plumbing and rate of fresh water flow? Carl

    Happy New Year!
On Saturday late afternoon, December 28, 2013 was the most recent time I got water at the Leone Family Spring.
I immediately noticed a volatile vegetable oil taste and smell. What is the status of the spring’s water?
    Thanks and good regards, Carl

  6. Carl Nobile says:

I’ve been back for water twice since 12/28/2013 and I have not noticed any more questionable taste.

The dates were Saturday, February 8, 2014 and Tuesday, March 11, 2014.

I have been again drinking it daily [from the bottles I fill at Leone’s spring] and I think it is back to its excellent quality.

    Thanks and good regards, Carl

  7. Ted says:

Thank you Leone Family for maintaining the spring, the water is great.

  8. Ted says:

Yesterday I visited the Leone spring to find No Trespassing signs. Apparently someone had vandalized the area causing the Leone family to post the area. In addition there was a sign stating that if the vandalizing continued they would have to close the spring. The family asked anyone seeing someone doing damage to please get a tag number and give it to them. The spring is still open to the public. I certainly hope it stops.
