    The spring is 3.4 miles in on the left, not 2.8, from the junction of 100/26 in Mechanic Falls. However, the spring is coming out of a lead pipe in a mere dribble, and is very low to the ooze-covered “stream” which is a dug ditch. No real way to get safe, clean water here without a shovel and some work.
