    There are two different parts of the campground. There's the beach for the campers and the public….this isn't the one you want. Theres another entrance further north on wabasis lake road and its for the boat launch. This is the one you want.

    is anyone drinking the water from this spring? do you test it? do you boil it? we collected some but i am unsure of how to use and store it.

    if you go up from this wellhouse to the source you can get it straight from the opening.  I drank almost of gallon of it and felt fine, but haven’t been able to go back.  I’m not sure where they tested for the nitrates…but I’ve been drinking from different springs for a year now and it tasted fine.  The choice is yours…can’t imagine it’d be much worse then all the crap that’s in the local tap water.

    Thanks for the post! I just went to this spring for the first time. Actually, my first time going to any natural spring. The water tastes and looks great!

    Will, can you describe where you found the opening? What do you mean by “go up from this wellhouse”? I did see a little trail going back away from the wellhouse but didn’t explore at all. Any info would be appreciated.

    I visited this spring house when I was a little girl.  I am so glad that it is still standing.  I loved standing in the water on a hot summer day
