Description

Pah Tempe Hot Springs, also known as La Verkin or Dixie Hot Springs, are located along the Virgin River near where the river cuts through Timpoweap Canyon along the Hurricane Cliffs between the towns of Hurricane and La Verkin. The springs issue at about 42°C (108°F) from multiple vents in fractured limestone. Widespread basalt flows ranging in age from 2 million years to 1,000 years old lie in the vicinity of the springs, possibly relating to local heat sources for the thermal water. (source)

    Would be really nice to know how long it might take to  get there from differnt plances.

    I just called them, they have 7 pools and when u make a reservation, u get it all to your self for 3 hours. 50 for 1 person, 80 for two, 100 for 3 people 120 for four and $20 for each additional person (this is mid Oct. 2011)

    Wow! that was amazing!  We went yesterday and loved it.  This is my favorite hot springs so far. You can feel the healing energy of the water. The sand at the bottom makes a great mask exfolliator. The smell is quite strong of sulpher.  Jumping into the Virgin river to cool off leaves you feeling completely energized.  There are shallow parts of the river right next to the hot springs that bubble up like a carbonated drink.  You feel the heat and air coming through the cool water.     The surrounding canyon is very beautiful.
