Visited the spring on November 20, 2011.

Really enjoyed visiting this spring. Located just outside of downtown North August in a well kept historical “living” park. When walking through the park, the vegetation is really alive; the water must be doing something right?!

The water flowed from the large pipe in the rocks at an almost gushing pressure. It was really crisp and cool.

I spoke with the caretaker about the water being tested. She affirmed that the water was tested frequently; she claimed that the water was clean for drinking (many folks drink nothing but the water from this spring), but had a trace amount of e coli present.

This was a really nice experience.

    UPDATE on November 23, 2011:

This solidifies my experience at the park …

After identifying my interest in the water sample, the park President had a special sample tested. The results show total coliform and e-coli as “absent”.
