I live in Richmond IN and I've always wondered if anyone has considered the industrial or commercial runoff from the area. The 'spring' is certainly in a low spot.

spring water is the best, but be careful with a TDS of 475 it is really too high to be drinking daily. Most sources recommend safe TDS under 100...

I grew up in Greens Fork and my Grandma/pa lived in Centerville, my sister and I would often make treks to Glen Miller to play with them and they would fill their jugs with the water ... there was nothing like it ... so cold and good!

I remember that water. It was quite good. I was born and lived in Richmond until I was 8. I wish I had a spring within an hour of DFW, but what can you say. It's TX.

I've just stumbled across this article about spring water which I found from Dr. Mercola's website and thinking I might be interested in finding out more. However, I do not know alot about the safety of drinking water straight from its source since I have always drank municipal water so I do not know what TDS is and will continue to research this topic.

Just found the NY Times article about Kay Westhues photographing wells in Indiana. My mom always drank the Glen Miller spring water. I remember it was deliciously refreshing. Glad to know the spring still exists. -MJ in Palo Alto CA.
