Turn left off of east main street also called EAST 40. The natural spring is around 300 feet from entrance.. I have been getting water there for 30 years. It is very cold water. Has a wonderful taste. This is the only water I will drink. This park is very very old…

pretty heavy, I wouldnt make it a huge habit. Maybe you could mix it with rainwater to bring the tds down? Anything over 300 and i get a little iffy….

Just found the NY Times article about Kay Westhues photographing wells in Indiana. My mom always drank the Glen Miller spring water. I remember it was deliciously refreshing. Glad to know the spring still exists. -MJ in Palo Alto CA.

I’ve just stumbled across this article about spring water which I found from Dr. Mercola’s website and thinking I might be interested in finding out more. However, I do not know alot about the safety of drinking water straight from its source since I have always drank municipal water so I do not know what TDS is and will continue to research this topic.

I remember that water. It was quite good. I was born and lived in Richmond until I was 8. I wish I had a spring within an hour of DFW, but what can you say. It’s TX.

I grew up in Greens Fork and my Grandma/pa lived in Centerville, my sister and I would often make treks to Glen Miller to play with them and they would fill their jugs with the water … there was nothing like it … so cold and good!

You probably already know by now, but TDS is Total Dissolved Solids

spring water is the best, but be careful with a TDS of 475 it is really too high to be drinking daily.  Most sources recommend safe TDS under 100…

I live in Richmond IN and I’ve always wondered if anyone has considered the industrial or commercial runoff from the area. The ‘spring’ is certainly in a low spot.
