    This was the best spring water, we ever tasted with many documented health benefits. People from all over Bedford County were able to enjoy this healthy water for generations. Once the resort ” Bedford Springs by Omni” renovated the old hotel, they shut this abundant flow of water from both crystal and black springs off. They did a disservice to the taxpaying public on whose backs the renovation with millions of Dollars was made possible. While the springs are possibly on the hotel’s property, the road leading to them is public, providing access to several private homes in the same region.

    Is it still closed?  If so, someone should remove from Find a Spring so no one will go there and be disappointed.

    I went home to visit Bedford, and took my sons there to enjoy the natural spring water I and my parents enjoyed during our childhoods. and in July it was closed and the resort informed me they had a 30,000 gallon spring fed pool. I was disgusted that Omni would close the springs and that they told me it was to protect the area from flooding. More likely it was to flood their pockets with money. so sad and I will say it was the most delicious water ever.
