It’s located behind the Drug Warehouse. You park your car there and there is a paved bicycle path that you walk down back towards Tulsa and it’s just a tiny little ways and there is a raised kind of decking and a rail around this thing. I’ve been there just once so I don’t know about the quality of the water. Drug Warehouse 651 E Charles Page Blvd Sand Springs, OK 74063 Take 412 out toward Keystone. Get off at Adams Road in Sand Springs. Turn left and go under the overpass. Drug Warehouse is immediately on the left. Turn into the parking lot, park your car and hit the trail back towards Tulsa (heading East), it can’t be more than a block down to the spring. Easy Peasy. You might contact the city’s water dept and see what they say about the water quality. Might be cheaper than having it tested if they already have those results on hand. Just guessing.

Description

Approx 2″ white PVC pipe coming out of the east ditch bank from the east side of the road. Appears to come from small well/pump house about 50 feet east/southeast on private property. Water constantly runs into ditch.

From Highway 271, turn North onto Council House Rd. Follow this Road past the Choctaw Nation capital all the way into the hills, it will eventually turn into Brinkley springs Rd. An ever-flowing “Artesian well” spring is located northeast of Cherokee, Oklahoma, and provides a cool drink for travelers and a “fill-your-own-container” source of water for many homes of the area. In 2003, this artesian well and the property adjacent was purchased by the McDermott Living Trust from the Brickman Estate. This naturally pure water source is known as the “Artesian Well on Highway 11″. Located just north of the Great Salt Plains National Wildlife Refuge, the main well was drilled in 1954 and since that time, this pure water has been available to the public at no charge. The McDermott’s formed deVine LLC in 2003 to be the distribution arm for their water business, wishing to continue the free access as a means of service to local and area travelers while still bottling and selling the improved product for the consumer’s convenience.
