Hand pump 20-30 yards walk from road.

“This spring is hand pumped out, people have been collecting water for years. It gets busy on the weekends (LINES) so come during the week. I tested the water with home test kit. Lead -negative pesticide- negative Nitrate/nitrite no trace total hardness pretty high, as all water in IL is 120-250 Bacteria- the test turned purple means none detected Chlorine- none water very cold and keeps cold.” – Paul

Enjoy a nice cool drink before and after you visit the beautiful park that is also located there.

This artesian water source was found when the village of Winslow dug a new well. Now the excess water flows out of the supply building through pipes into a nearby creek. A spigot has been installed so that anyone can visit and fill as many containers as they want. The water is tested twice each month.

Description

It is a hotel built over a spring in 1867 that is supposed to be certified as being similar in mineral composition to the famous Carlsbad Springs in Germany. Their food is as SAD as it gets so I come prepared when I stay there. They have suites with kitchens.
