Description
Small metal spout coming out of the ground. Nothing extravagant. The water is quite sulfourous, and has a slightly murky colour. I have had the water tested for contamination about a year ago with negative results. Solid spring that has been serving the community for over 25 years.

Description
This is a little know water source, just outside Hamilton, Ontario. Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of info about this spring, but it obvious that this has been in use for a long, long time. I was told that back in the 80’s this spring had high nitrate levels but I don’t have any current info. For what it’s worth, many of the locals in the area use it daily & have nothing but good things to say about this spring.

Description:
You’ll see a metal pipe in the ditch and lots of cat-tails (bull rushes / reeds). Water isn’t really cold but is cool. When you stand right at the very corner of the two roads, you can hear the water running and the small path leading down to it is only about 1m away and about 1/2 a meter long. You walk onto it pretty much from the road, not from the larger path running behind the reeds.
Easy parking on East side of Quarry Road by mailboxes. When boiled dry there was quite a bit of white residue, so likely has higher than optimal calcium levels. Taste was good.

Description
This is one of most desirable & valued springs in all of Southern Ontario. Elmvale is central to one of the world’s most pristine aquifers & this is considered by many to be among the finest, purest, cleanest natural spring water worldwide. The people in this area truly understand how lucky they are & are trying hard to protect it.
Currently, a developer is attempting to put in a waste dump site near the spring. This site consists of digging down and draining part of the aquifer to create space for more waste. This will ultimately lead to the contamination of the aquifer in the area, making not only this public spring undrinkable, but also the majority of the well water that people drink and use in the area. Regardless of whether or not you will drink from this spring, please sign this petition and keep Elmvale’s Purest Aquifer clean!!! http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/stop-dump-site-41
