In the ditch at the bottom of a large cow barn….As you pass you may notice a number of people crawling down into the ditch…confusing but this is the spring. Flows fast out of the ground through a pipe…They are not getting ditch water!!! Great water source and many locals drink it for generations.

Follow the Gaspereau Rd over the hill from Wolfville. Turn right onto greenfield rd as you come to into the valley. On your right hand side is a large cow barn, just before Gaspereau River Rd. on the same side as the elementary school about 300 yards before it.

Description

A dual pipe spring well known to the locals. It sits in front of the former Jones Bottling Company. I was told it’s unused run-off from the bottling company, provided by the generous owner. The water is cold, crystal clear, and refreshing.

From Digby, heading South on Route 101, take Route 1 towards Weymouth. This is known as the 8 mile loop. The spring will be on the left side of the road. It can’t be missed. You can actually fill a container from your car window.
