Bond Mountain Spring tends to run much more slowly during the Summer time for the last couple of years due to drought in Maine. It is usually just the month of August that it runs the slowest, where it takes 5 minutes or more to fill a 6-Gallon Car Boy. However, the rest of the year the spring is gushing with sweet, fresh spring water that hydrates unlike any other water!

I visited the Spring in Mid-July and the water was flowing very fast. I had no problem fulling about ten gallons in a few minutes.

I visited the spring on September 30, two days after Hurricane Irene rolled through and the spring was a trickle. Odd. I would have thought all that rain would have upped the flow quite a bit.

I look forward to visiting the Spring again at the end of September. The drive should be spectacular.

If you are interested in the GPS numbers of the Bond Spring there they are
( N 43" 37" 47.9 by W 070" 53' 46.8 ). If you are in the area and you are looking for another spring check out the Nightshade Spring in Parsonsfield roughtly 10 miles away, and it is flowing at a decent rate.

Bond Mtn Spring has just about stopped running. If you are a regular visitor of this spring, i would suggest going elsewhere. Water is running very slowly, and lacks the cold temperature it once had. Energetically I no longer feel good about drinking this water. Maine has suffered a major lack of rain this summer and it may be effecting the flow.
