    we went to this spring and did not get water. We did not find a place where the water was properly tapped…just some open ponds where the water bubbles up, not what we are interested in drinking…

    The big springs is now part of the Mackay Wildlife Preserve and protected from any use other than it*s natural flow.It is the main source for the NYS Fish Hatchery down stream.The spring water is not fit for human consumption as it cotains chemicals that would be harmful to humans.
      Enjoy it*s natural beauty as it is while we still have it and thanks for enjoying the Springs—Barry

    The Springs are just west of the Thomas Overlook on Spring st.They consist of 3 holes that are the source.In the dry weather is the best time to see the springs as they are very visable at that time.  Thank you–Barry
