Drive about five minutes up Strawberry Canyon (rough dirt road) and you’ll see water coming from a pipe. This is very good water. I drank it for a whole summer, as it is only accessible from about May-September or until the snow comes.

Description
High flow! Can fill a 3 gallon in under 2 minutes.
Once it snows, the remaining mile and a half or so to the top most parking lot is gated closed until snow season is over. At all other ‘access’ times of the year, one can park at the top parking lot a short walking distance from Steward Observatory. There is a trail that leads to Mt. Lemmon Trail #5. This is a service road that leads approximately a half mile to the capped spring which is a metal shed to the right side of the road. The pipe where the water comes out of is to the left of the road.
Nearest Address
Steward Observatory parking lot, top of Mt. Lemmon
Directions from Nearest Address
Begin at Steward’s parking lot. Walk toward the observatory, past the gate, and take the first hiking trail to your left. Continue down the hill, taking the right path at any trail junction. (There is also wild tobacco growing along this trail if you know what to look for.) About a mile down, the trail will turn abruptly to the right, and ahead on the right you will see a metal shed. Across from this shed, there is a hill (with sunflowers in the summer) dropping off to your left. You will be able to hear the water flowing. There are about 5 stone steps leading down a few feet, and a pipe sticking out from the hill!

Description
My friend Steve, who showed me the spring, has a friend who lives on Brinkhaven Road and we stopped by his place before we gathered the water. Steve’s friend says he drinks from that spring all the time and he sees people stopping there to gather water. The water smells and tastes clean and good.
I wrote about this spring on The Health Exhibitionist Blog, under the blog post title, “Receiving The Flow, Tracking The Flow”. http://truetoyourdreams.wordpress.com/2010/01/08/receiving-the-flow-tracking-the-flow/
Nearest Address
Closest intersection is Brinkhaven Rd. and Route 62.
Directions from Nearest Address
Coming from Columbus, take Route 62 North until you come to Danville. Just after Danville you’ll be heading toward the Mohican River. Just before the river, make a left on to Brinkhaven Road. Go about a mile or so, and you’ll see the spring on your left, right by the road.

Description
Just east of Fayette, OH. Great tasting fresh water. Iron content is high. An old man pulled up while I was there and informed me that locals have been using this spring for years. It is normal for iron content to be high in this region.
I was turned off by the large rusty bucket, lol. I have been assured that this is a completely natural occurrence of water emerging from the earth.
Nearest Address
Rte. 20 about 3 miles due East of Downtown Fayette

Description
The spring is in the woods up a pretty steep trail behind the factory. There is a cement trough where the spring used to be when it was used for the old bottling company. The pipe where the spring comes out directly is black and short. It empties into a eroded hole and down the mountain. The trail is slightly steep walking up the semi obvious trail but it is worth the less than quarter mile walk. Not accessible by car to the source but you can park the car near by.
Nearest Address
70 Berme Road Ellenville, New york
Directions from Nearest Address
There are two trails that look like vehicle paths. They’re both behind the factory. One goes off from the back left corner and one from the other side of the factory from the back right corner. The tiny (somewhat creepy) concrete bunker thing is off to the left. The path to the spring is up the steep trail on the right. It’s pretty obvious once you see it but it’s easy to think the one on the left is the only main trail if that’s where you park.
