Description

Beautiful, strong flowing spring in a peaceful and secluded pine forest. Well known to the locals.

This is an exceptional spring with a constant flow of interesting people to talk to.

Take Route 122 North from the Worcester area until you pass Route 148. Bear left on Old Turnpike Road which is immediately after Rt. 148. Approx. 3 miles turn left on Crocker Nye Road. The spring is on your left side. It can’t be missed from the road.

Description

A small wooden structure at the East end of the parking lot. Water flows from a pipe. This flow is from the Prentice spring located on the shores of Lake Superior and captured for use by the city many years ago. Fill your bottles, or cup your hand over the spout to drink “fountain” style, from a small hole on the top of the pop.

It is a hotel built over a spring in 1867 that is supposed to be certified as being similar in mineral composition to the famous Carlsbad Springs in Germany. Their food is as SAD as it gets so I come prepared when I stay there. They have suites with kitchens.

Description

Hexagonally Shaped Open Granite Pool. Over a hundred years of history is associated with this spring as a commercial water. This spring was known for an unusual ability to remain fresh, and was used on ship for long voyages. Its Spring House has been recently restored, though maintains its original appearance and feeling, reminiscent of the days of Balneopathy, when people took to the sacred waters. The spring pool has a grate installed to keep things from being deeply submersed, so only the first 8 inches of water is accessible. Bring a scoop of some kind to fill large bottles, which might not fit into the spring. 1 gallon juice bottles fill nicely here and can be used to top of larger bottles.

Mistakenly called a “Mineral Spring”, this springs low TDS makes it perfect for regular drinking! This is one of my personal favorites in the World!
